Dr. Castro-Piñero

 

Professor at the Department of Physical Education, Faculty of Education Sciences, University of Cadiz (101stof Shanghai Ranking 2016 in Sport Science). His teaching activity is focus on health related physical fitness and physical activity. His areas of expertise expand to the study of the effect of sedentary time, physical activity, fitness, fatness and nutrition in several health outcomes such as health-related quality of life, cognitive function, cardio-metabolic risk, etc., with special interest in the practical application through the transfer of results in the school setting.
He is author of more than 93 peer-reviewed papers (81 of them indexed in JCR) and more than 100 presentations in International Congresses. He has participated in 25 autonomic, national and international projects, with a total of more than 3 million euros funding. He is Principal Investigator  in 3 of them (2 nacional and 1 international; and is permanent review in 18 journal indexed in JCR.  The excellence of the results of the research group has allowed the Achievement of various prizes for the research projects that he has been involved in. Currently, he continues working actively with several research collaborators from different countries.

Field of research interest: Bone metabolism in relation to physical exercise and nutrition. Paediatric exercise science and Sport medicine.
Member of American Society of Bone and Mineral Research, International Osteoporosis Foundation, French Society of Sport Medicine and Group of Research and Information on Osteoporosis.

Physical therapist II at Concord Hospital, in Concord, NH, with a clinical experience of 11 years, almost 9 of them in outpatient orthopedics. Currently fellow in training (FiT) with American Academy of Orthopaedic Manual Physical Therapists (AAOMPT). Areas of expertise include manual therapy of the spine and extremities, dry needling, sports rehabilitation, concussion. Primary investigator in a current RCT on Dry needling.

Molnár Andor

Molnár Andor

 

Biologist, associate professor at the Institute of Physical Education and Sports Science, University of Szeged, Hungary. His teaching activity focuses on sport biology including anatomy, exercise physiology, antropometry, motor control and motor development. The field of his research interest: regulation of energy, water and electrolyte balance; body image, eating, bone metabolism and menstrual disorders; exercise addiction. In addition to his publications in Hungarian and English in professional journals and edited books, he is one of the editors of several sports science books. He is a permanent speaker at Hungarian and international sports science congresses. He was the winner of Neuropeptide Club Special Award (2009) and János Bolyai Research Fellowship (2009-2012) of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences.Currently, he is the leader of a longitudinal transnational (RO-SVK-HU) project on pupil’s body composition, motor development and quality of life (EFOP-5.2.2-17-2017-00035) supported by the Hungarian Government and the European Union.
